So, my friend Jenny (sorry I don't know how to link her blog to this) let us in on a little secret. Our preacher is going to be inspiring us to do something out of the ordinary to show God's love to someone around us. It reminded me of a few things...
When I was younger, I so often witnessed my mother doing things anonymously for other people. She is and was a GREAT role model!
On of my favorite times was when we had come to know a family of 6. He was a preacher of a very very small church. My mom and dad decided that we needed to help this family out for Christmas. I remember my mom buying a small Christmas tree and us 'decorating' it with 20 dollar bills! We drove to the house of the family and left it on they're door step. They still to this day do not know who did it! Still one of my favorite memories!
When I was in high school, I decided that I could do a little giving myself. I came up with the idea to each week, take some money out of my own paycheck and give it to someone who needed cheering up. I was an aid in our school office during my 3rd hour class. Each week I would really keep my eyes out for someone I overheard talking, or someone who just looked like they needed some cheering up. During my 3rd hour class I would ask our high school secretary to look up someone's locker number for me. I would then go to my locker and pull out a white envelope with a red ribbon around it. Inside was a 20 dollar bill and a typed note that read, "Today God has blessed you, now bless someone else!" Remember, this was during a class period, so I would be the only person in the halls. Next, I would tape the envelope to someone's locker and go back to the office. After the bell would ring, I would casually pass by that certain person's locker to see they're reation! IT WAS PRICELESS!!! It really started getting good when I would have to find other times to leave my gift. People started looking out for it! It was so amazing! It was like people were hoping to win the lottery for that week! I continued to do that throughout my senior year, and to this day noone in my high school knows it was me! I think I'll start doing something like that again! Thank you Jenny and Rusty for the inspiration!

Great stories Jessi! I would imagine that made a lasting impact on some lives... you may never know the seeds you planted. I love you sister!
You are so awesome! I would have never thought to do that when I was in HS. I can't wait to hear what you do once Rusty gives us this challenge.
That was a great blog. I am looking forward to hearing about it from Rusty. I have already been thinking of something I can do.
